Disposable Income

These photographs were made in the early 80s in southeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Following in the footsteps of turn-of-the-century photographers Lewis Hine and August Sander who documented people at work (among other things), they are straight-forward portraits. However, the subject of Disposable Income is consumption rather than production.
