Photography

My photography and performance work has largely been concerned with the personal impact of the economic environment. While early photographs admired the approach and concerns of the New Topographic artists, the recent work is a montage of still and video imagery that conveys the unsettling complexity of contemporary life in an increasingly transnational climate.

My work with C5 (1997 - 2007) explores the social and theoretical implications of technology in society. We utilized data visualization, performance expedition, installation, and such to work out ideas regarding interests like big data, data transposition, and sublime data. I was a member of this collaborative group since its inception. Photography, video, sculpture, performance, and internet-based work are manifestations of our efforts.

This work ranges from old to new. The portfolios are arranged with the most recent at the top.
